2020 Census Profile NEW
In 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau conducted the Decennial Census. The Census is conducted every 10 years as mandated by the Constitution. Census data and data related to the Census are used in a variety of ways including determining program funding levels or eligibility. Programs that rely on Census data include Medicare, the national school lunch program, Head start, food nutrition programs, and Cooperative Extension. In Fiscal Year 2021 this amounted to Decennial Census Programs data being used “in whole or in part to distribute more than $2.8 trillion in funds.” For more information, visit the Census Bureau report
